This is the link to the latest post on the Mercedes Schneider blog where she totals up the cost of LEAP testing over a five year period.

As Schneider points out, the cost of ACT related testing is not included in her analysis.

There we go. That's the information I've been waiting to see. So we're basically looking at $15 million a year, just to pay to the testing companies. This does not include the amount of money that each school district must spend in order to purchase computers to test on.

I know that this school year, we started testing middle school students on April 23rd and did not stop until May 17th when we finished with high school make up tests. Not to mention the diagnostic testing at various points in the year.

It needs to stop.
